I love air travel...
About that beach vacation ... I lied.
Yep, that was me stranded overnight in Heathrow Airport because of the British Airways strike ... on the up side, I've just spent a lovely afternoon in Edinburgh, and maybe I'll even be on my way home tomorrow morning!
I get the feeling that this will be a really funny story as soon as I'm done living it :)

I'm usually in favor of Unions supporting workers, but not if they deprive an entire continent of one of its most beloved. DOWN WITH THE WORKER! Up with Anna returning to us!

Tim and I were watching CNN at the hospital as we were waiting for the results of the amnio and he said, "I wonder if Anna's stuck in all that." He seemed strangely proud of himself when he found out that he had correctly guessed that you were.

Wow!! Good for you for getting out of London. And all the way to Scotland! Don't you love that castle?? Edinborough was one of my favorite places in UK, second only to York.

Hi Anna,
Hope all is well and that you have long-since made it home in one peice. Good news for your family vacation: looks as if Hurricane Irene is turning out to sea and won't hit land. I hope you can enjoy your shortened trip to the beach.

Anna tells a really amazing tale about sharing the floors of Heathrow airport with a gazillion other pilgrims, then going right back to tourist mode in Scotland, all the while toting various fine glass and ceramic breakables.
She has the best travel genes ever! We'll have to toast her with the delicate Austrian cristal I toted all over western Europe long ago.
