Frankly, I'm not sure how legit this is, but an actual news person reported on it. I get the impression from the "New 7 Wonders" website that they are just a fancy travel agency started by a guy named Bernard Weber (described as a "Swiss adventurer," whatever that means) trying to get attention for themselves. But maybe not, maybe this is a actually beautiful moment of history in which people from around the world bond together to create a fabric of cultural consciousness in which we may all share and take pride.
But in any case ... I voted for the Acropolis, neener neener!!
