Strange foreign signs, season 2, part 2.

This is a street sign near my dorm .... I seriously have no idea what it's for:
(no awkward can-can dancing?!?)

  • Anna,
hast Du auch ein Bild von der Umgebung um diesen Schild herum? Vielleicht mit etwas Kontext kann ich den Schild entziffern!

  • Hey Margretta! I'm not even going to attempt to answer you with my German which would only embarass me :)
The lack of context is to make the picture interesting ... I'm not really trying to debunk German signs, which, one the whole, are sadly straight-forward and understandable :)

  • Let' focus here. The sign clearly means:

    Goose-Stepping Strongly Frowned Upon"

A-Fish, I hope you are well. You will be happy to know that life on the campaign trail is like a vacation. No long nights, no sleeping at the office, no stress, and definitely no sarcasm. I despise you for many reasons not the least of which is that you are smart enough to parlay you education into a life long europa-fest with the occasional stop in poverty-ville... poverty-burg... shit.

Please start profusely using "uber" as both a noun and adjective as soon as possible.

  • No Dukie, I'm not going to go the "über" route ... instead I will insist on saying "Tschüs!!" to everyone in a really effected way. I think it could work for me.

  • The meaning is clear for anyone who has seen a Fred Astaire movie : do not attempt to dance up the walls. There is another companion sign somewhere with a stick in the little guy's hand forbidding dancing with brooms.
