Remembrance Day
It is Remembrance Day in Canada today, which is the equivalent of Memorial Day for all of you people. If you'd like to know more about it, I've found something right on my level to explain it to all of you.
Why is this actually exciting, you ask? Because Remembrance day for me meant big guns going off in front of me on my way home from German class. Wheeee!

Wow...and Friday was also U.S. veteran's day, as well as Polish Independance day. How about that? Seems like the whole world was celebrating something.

Okay, upon further consideration, Remebrance day is really the same thing as Veteran's day ... except we all wear this pretty red poppy on our lapels (which I guess we used to do in the US).

Actually, many years ago, this used to be Armistace Day. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the Great War ended (WWI for those of you not paying attention.) This remembrance day metamorphed into Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada. Don't know about Polish Independence Day, but it may have the same origin.

Hi Anna, I found your blog informative. While out blog surfing today for specific info on golf gift, I ended up on your page. Your Remembrance Day shows that I ended up a little off base, but I am certainly glad I stopped by. I will bookmark your site for a future visit, and should you ever need it, there is plenty of information on this site about golf gift.

And I think that anyone who wants to be offended should click the link for that mysterious "Buy Crap from Dave" person. Anyone of the female persuasion will find it particularly amusing.
Who was that masked man?
