This weekend, I went ice skating downtown by the lake with Justin and Amy...

Let me just say, skating while trying to take a picture is hard.

Amy and I have cute hats!

Then I went home and watched Hockey. I suppose it was only a matter of time...

Does Amy play hockey? And for those of you used to skating with figure skates...the lack of a toe pick leads to all kinds of ungraceful landings on the ice. Trying to push-off on a non-existant toe pick is NOT a good idea.

No, I don't play hockey, though I would like to. I'm not too bad with the puck, but my skating needs a lot of work. Mostly, I need to master the "hockey stop" and some backward skating. However, I purposely bought hockey skates because I hate toepicks. I had figure skates as a kid and never could figure out how to not trip on them. Also, my feet look much cuter in hockey skates. Bonus to not having toepicks, I didn't fall down at all. Yay!

Look for me on the Leafs next year! They lose anyway, and I'll lose games for less money.
