First week of school!! First week of school!!
Well, I've started my classes at the good old Universität Ulm this week, and it's been pretty interesting. The campus is huge, and out in the countryside, which took a lot of getting used to. I still get lost pretty frequently, because all of the buildings here are interconnected in weird ways, and then suddenly sepperated by enormous clumps of trees you can't see around. The architecture is also, er, lovely.

The bus in front of the school totally looks like a Warsaw bus. Must be the same company.
The campus certainly doesn't evoke images of renaissance art history...but it looks clean. The Sorbonne's Paris campus always looked trashed.

Yeah, those freaking buses are everywhere here in Europe. So do yours struggle to make up a two degree incline as well, or are the Polish ones just special like that?

Have you been to the Mensa? Did you eat the potatoes? All the Germans I knew had strong feelings about those potatoes... mostly hatred, though some really liked them. Me, I really liked them. I also remember how delightfully cheap the Mensa meals were.

I do go to the Mensa ... it is always fun because none of us american students really understand what the meals consist of, and there's alwys a crazy rush, so sometimes you end up accidentally getting a plate of meat-stuff meat for lunch (this has actually happened). Other than that the mensa is great, and really cheap, and I have had the potatoes ... they were vinegary, but good :)

Also, about the busses ... I have to check but I heard this rumor that they're made me a German company like VW or something. They are amayingly fast, and I've learned to stand FAR from the curb.
