Natural Beauty:

Hey, betcha didn't know that according to my handy guidebook here, Warsaw boasts "one of Europe's most beautiful palatio-park complexes" in its downtown area! I'm not even sure what a 'palatio-park complex' is supposed to be, but having visited, I'm pretty sure I want one.

Park Ujazdowski is the smaller of the two parks, with lovely formal gardens, and is perfect for a stroll.

Park Lazienkowski is much larger and resembles Central Park, although it is easier to traverse, and has many little Palaces dotting the landscape. Here's a fun fact: Chopin hailed from Warsaw, and they have a giganitc (and in my opinion, really ugly) statue of him in this Park.

  • You know... I've realized a sad truth within the last few days of reading your blog: your blog has become more of a "Poland Blog" than our blog ever was and we live in Poland!

Hmm... maybe we should refer anyone interested in Poland to your site.

  • For the first-time visitor to Poland things can be difficult to interpret: above is actually a depiction of Chopin before the alien abduction.
